Mexican Masterclass 1

Food is such an important part of Mexican culture and we are going to celebrate this by exploring the basics with a very authentic and traditional outlook. This class will arm you with the foundations to create your own Mexican dishes from scratch at home. I am extremely passionate about Mexican food, I think because it is so damn tasty, so, this is class 1 of a series of traditional Mexican cookery, where you will learn the basics which will lead you into more complex dishes and exploring the different territories each with their different cooking styles.

First, we are going to talk tortillas and make some traditional flour tortillas from scratch.
Chilles, salsa’s and spices are next on the agenda including where to source them, how to use them and together, how to combine them to make a Salsa Rojo Ranchera.

Next, the showstopper, as we will be cooking one of the most loved tacos of all, the Al Pastor. Fragrant pork fillet marinated in an adobo roja sauce and served with pan-roasted pineapple, and classic toppings.
